Review
Die englische BBC Serie Peaky Blinders spielt in England um die 20er herum. In Deutschland lief die Serie über Sky Atlantic HD. Es geht um eine Gang, die sich die Peaky Blinders nennen und ihren Einfluss in und um Birmingham ausbauen wollen. Insbesondere geht es um die Shelby Familie, die die Führung der Peaky Blinders inne hat. Daher auch in Vieles um Birmingham verstrickt ist und mittlerweile sogar Bevölkerung und Polizei hinter sich hat. Das Ganze ändert sich schlagartig als Chief Inspector Chester Campbell im Auftrag des Royal Irish Constabulary in die Stadt geschickt wird um für Recht und Ordnung zu sorgen. Im Mittelpunkt des ganzen steht Tommy Shelby, als Kriegsheld gefeiert, kommt er aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg zurück, doch der Krieg hat seine Spuren in ihm hinterlassen, seit seiner Rückkehr ist er sehr introvertiert und doch ist er der geborene Anführer, der immer offensichtlicher das Sagen hat.
Fazit:
Die BBC Produktion erinnert ein bisschen an Gangs of New York und ist auf jeden Fall eine sehenswerte Angelegenheit.
I was looking fowrrad to seeing what was in the suitcase, and I’m not disappointed! On my monitor, the Bernshaw two piece looks more yellow/chartreuse than sage, but no matter, it’s a fantastic fit, and those sleeves are beautiful! That suede/sheepskin jacket is amazing, but really, Vix, where’s your wolf fleece? You could probably get one at the same time as your granny pants in the Rag Market…I adore the 6 year old Vix with her mad hair and rebellious collar.
